Market introduction: 

The Czech carmaker, Skoda brought the updated 2021 Superb to India in January 2021. 

Variants: 

The updated Superb now comes in two variants —- SportLine and Laurin & Klement (L&K) 

Engine and transmission: 

Skoda has equipped the Superb with a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 188bhp and 320Nm of torque and it is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic unit. 

Exterior: 

The exterior highlights of this sedan include new adaptive LED headlamps and DRLs with the a “coming/leaving home” function. The headlamps also come with four modes —- city, inter-city, motorway, and rain. Further, the AFS system can control the headlamp unit according to terrain, speed, and weather. Besides this, the Superb is also equipped with new taillamps with dynamic turn signals. Moreover, both variants come with 17-inch alloy wheels. 

Interior: 

The SportLine variant has an all-black interior with Alcantara upholstery for the seats, steering wheels, and gearstick while the L&K features Coffee Brown and Stone Beige interior with perforated leather upholstery for the seats, steering, and gearstick. 

Safety and features: 

Superb comes with features such as electrically assisted front seats, a heating and cooling function for the front seats (L&K), an eleven-speaker Canton sound system (L&K), a new eight-inch infotainment system with navigation, a wireless changing pad, USB-C ports, and virtual cockpit. Both the variants also get power tailgate open/close function, eight airbags, tri-zone temperature control with AirCare function, LED ambient lighting as well as diffused footwell lighting, Parktronic system, Power Nap package (L&K), drive modes (L&K), TPMS (L&K), 360 surround cameras (L&K), and Boss button (L&K).  

Seating capacity: 

Skoda Superb is a five-seater luxurious sport sedan.  

Colours: 

This Skoda sedan is available in six paint choices: are Business Grey, Moon White, Magic Black, Lava Blue, Steel Grey, and Race Blue.  

Rivals: 

Skoda Superb competes against the likes of the Audi A4 and BMW 220.
